Day 2: Lolei, Preah Ko, Bakong, Tonle Sap Lake (B)

After breakfast, visit the breathtaking pre-Angkorian temple complexes of the Roluos Group: Lolei, Preah Ko, and Bakong. Then, head to Tonle Sap Lake, where you will take a traditional longtail boat to Kampong Phluk. The "Floating Villages" are accessible by boat from August/September to February. Experience the unique ecosystem on a boat ride through the mangrove forests. After returning to Siem Reap, enjoy some free time to reflect on the day's experiences or stroll through the night markets of the charming town.

Day 3: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei, Aki Ra, Banteay Samre (B)

Today, you will visit the stunning temple of Banteay Srei, located about 30 km away. Built in 967, this unique temple is renowned for its intricate sandstone carvings and is dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. On your way, stop at Aki Ra's Landmine Museum and visit a local palm sugar production site. On the return trip, visit Banteay Samre, built during King Suryavarman II's reign in the 12th century, and finish with visits to the temples of Eastern Mebon, Pre Rup, and Prasat Kravan from the 10th century.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm (B)

In the morning, take a Tuk Tuk ride to Angkor Thom, the last royal city of the great Khmer Empire under King Jayavarman VII. Enter through the impressive stone South Gate, adorned with four giant faces and elephants. The area is surrounded by an 8-meter-high wall forming a perfect square, 4 km long on each side, featuring 54 gods and demons holding the sacred Naga serpent. At the heart of the city lies the Bayon Temple with its 54 towers, representing the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire. Continue to the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, followed by visits to the 11th-century temples of Baphuon and Phimeanakas. Your day concludes at the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, famous for its massive tree roots, and finally, Angkor Wat, built in the early 12th century under Suryavarman II. This temple complex is a masterpiece of Khmer architecture, symbolizing the peaks of Mount Meru, the home of the gods. Enjoy the sunset over Angkor Wat before your Tuk Tuk takes you back to Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siem Reap - Beng Mealea, Koh Ker (B)

After breakfast, travel in an open jeep to the jungle temple of Beng Mealea, built in the 12th century. Nestled in stunning landscapes and amidst untamed nature, it bears a resemblance to Angkor Wat but remains partially unrestored and is located about 40 km east of the main temple group. Then, continue to Koh Ker, the former capital of the Khmer Empire, known as Lingapura (City of Lingas) or Chok Gargyar (City of Glory). Explore the site spanning over 80 square kilometers, where you can admire 180 temples, many of which are hidden in the forest. In the afternoon, return to Siem Reap in the jeep.

Day 6: Siem Reap (B, L)

Today, travel along red dirt and gravel roads into the countryside, exploring small Khmer villages outside the city in a Tuk Tuk. Enjoy the picturesque routes away from the main roads, experiencing the authentic side of Cambodia. Visit a local fish market and watch the activities at the central market, browsing the stalls and tasting Khmer delicacies and fresh fruits. You will also participate in a traditional blessing ceremony where a monk sings ancient Pali chants in a village pagoda and sprinkles holy water, a ritual believed to bring purification and happiness. After being blessed, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 7: Siem Reap - Phnom Kulen (B, L)

After breakfast, set out for Phnom Kulen, a sacred mountain located about 60 km north of Siem Reap. On a hike through the unspoiled nature of the mountain, you will learn more about Cambodia's wildlife alongside your guide and a ranger. You can choose between a shorter 6 km trail (about 3 hours) or a longer 10 km route (about 4 hours). Relax with a picnic lunch and refresh yourself in the clear river water. We recommend bringing suitable shoes for the hike. Afterward, return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 8: Siem Reap - Battambang, Banteay Chhmar (B)

Start your day with an overland transfer to Battambang, stopping along the way at the lesser-known temple of Banteay Chhmar. This impressive temple complex, built under Jayavarman VII, captivates with its partially crumbling walls and striking reliefs depicting scenes like the sea battle against the Cham. Its unique architecture is reminiscent of Angkor Thom and the Bayon. After this fascinating exploration, continue your journey to Battambang.

Day 9: Battambang - Wat Aik Phnom, Wat Banan, Phnom Sampeou (B)

Explore the charming city in traditional Tuk Tuks, known for its colonial architecture. Visit the Wat Aik Phnom Pagoda and ride through picturesque rice fields, immersing yourself in rural life. In local villages, witness how rice paper and other Khmer specialties are made. In the afternoon, visit Wat Banan, followed by Phnom Sampeou, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Experience the spectacular sight of thousands of bats flying out of their cave at dusk.

Day 10: Battambang - Phnom Penh, Kampong Chhnang, Oudong (B)

Today, continue your journey to Phnom Penh, stopping at local pottery workshops in Kampong Chhnang, where traditional craftsmanship thrives. Also, visit the Stupas of Oudong, a significant cultural heritage site. In the afternoon, arrive in the vibrant capital and enjoy some free time after checking into your hotel.

Day 11: Phnom Penh - Tuol Sleng, Choeng Ek (B)

Delve into Cambodia’s dark history today by visiting the notorious Tuol Sleng prison, where many regime opponents were tortured, and the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek, a memorial for the victims of the Khmer Rouge. In the afternoon, take a two-hour Cyclo tour to experience Phnom Penh from a new perspective. A stop at the Central Market allows you to immerse yourself in the lively market atmosphere.

Day 12: Phnom Penh - Wat Phnom (B)

Your city tour begins with visits to Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda, adorned with over 5,000 silver plates. Afterward, explore the National Museum, home to an impressive collection of Cambodian art and artifacts. The afternoon is yours to continue exploring the city.
